A.M.C.S. SYSTEM

The Automatic Message Control System is a hardware/software   Paging solution developed by Minelec Limited, that allows  Transit Operators the ability to issue either manual page        messages or automatic pre-recorded messages from a computer terminal. The application program allows manual page messages to be recorded on the PC., played back over the connected PC      speakers, deleted, re-recorded and then once satisfied with the message, issued to a user selected paging zone. Operators can also choose to broadcast a message selected from a database of pre-recorded audio files. The system is networked with the   MINCOM Plus P.A. Control system via either an Ethernet I.P. 10/100baseT connection or via a proprietary RS 485 data link.

An additional feature of the software is the ability to configure automatic pre-recorded message broadcasts based on the day of the week and the time of day. This is extremely useful in Bus or Train Departure applications as each day of the week can have an independent schedule. In addition, there is also a 'Special' Event' function that when activated, allows the program to ignore the normal automatic time-date sequence and instead will broadcast any time applicable message found in the 'SE' database. The Special Event function will continue to time cycle through the database messages until the function is manually interrupted, at which time the application will revert to the normal time-date schedule. All timed events are controlled by the PC's internal clock running under the PC's Windows 2000 operating system.

In addition to the systems audio output capability, the AMCS  also has the ability to output via an Ethernet I.P. connection or an RS232/RS485 datalink, associated signage data that can be used, by an appropriate display system, to re-enforce the audio content of the broadcast audio file.

The system was designed to directly interface with the MINCOM PLUS P.A. however customized applications can be provided upon request.
