Description

The STP15M weatherproof speaker provides clear audible output for voice paging, background    music and tone alerting. The speaker is fitted with an integral recessed screwdriver adjustable tap changer accessed through the 1/2" NPT threaded cable entry plate. A suitably rated monitoring capacitor is fitted.

The STP15M incorporates a 1^3/8" dia. voice coil that converts electrical impulses into moving air particles and projects those into a conical horn  assembly that disperses the sound over an angle of 110 degrees @ -6dB @ 1kHz. 

The speaker has a beige baked enamel finish and is supplied with a universal mounting bracket that allows screw mounting in 3 positions or else band strap fixing. Full adjustment of the speaker is provided in both the vertical and horizontal plane.

The speaker has a frequency response of 400Hz to 14KHz nominal and provides a measured SPL of 120dB  on axis, @15W @ 1kHz.

Tap settings of 1, 2, 3.75, 7.5, and 15 watts are available @ 70v input.

Architects and Engineers Specifications

The horn shall be a Minelec STP15M or approved equal. The unit shall be a re-entrant type horn with an integral line matching transformer for connection to an amplifier with 25v, 70v or 100v output. A pair of screw terminals shall be provided for speaker line connection. A screw driver adjustable rotary switch shall provide wattage tap selection from 1-15W in increments of 3dB and maximum power shall be 15W. RMS.
Frequency response shall be 375Hz -15Khz. The horn shall have  a measured SPL of 121dB, @ 1 m. on axis @15W.  Sound dispersion shall be 110 degrees. The unit shall incorporate a suitably rated monitoring capacitor.
The unit shall incorporate a horizontally and vertically adjustable mounting base and shall be of a painted metal weatherproof construction. A gasketed conduit interface adaptor shall be provided for hardwiring with conduit. 
The operating temperature range shall be -35 degrees C to +60 degrees C.
